At Water Tree Studios, this is what that process looks like.
Step 1 | Pop the champagne and catch your vision
We’ll begin by asking questions about the end product you have in mind and the kind of experience you want to enjoy along the way. How close do you want our cameras to be? Do you want highly-produced, television-style coverage of your wedding day, or is a more candid photo-journalistic feel right for you? We don’t make assumptions about your preferences. Rather, your desires dictate how we shoot.
Step 2 | Communicate the path
Once we’ve gained an understanding of the end goal you have in mind, we’re intentional about clearly communicating what it will take to get there. Want to create a Vanity Fair-style editorial moment with your wedding party? We’re on board! But before writing that shot into your timeline in permanent ink, we’ll walk you through the steps required to make it happen—prop curation, styling assistance, and 20 minutes of composition time included. Next, we’ll create a custom timeline based around the overall experience and final photo and video content you desire.
Step 3 | Create the plan
Before the wedding, we schedule site visits to ensure that we’re familiar with your space...even if we’ve shot there a dozen times before. Believing that the best creative expression results from the most thorough logistical planning, we emphasize organization and communication throughout the process. On that note, don’t be surprised when we show up at your rehearsal. We want to know where you're standing, what the light is doing, who your key family members and special guests are, who’s reading, who’s singing, where our gear will go, and how to get the best angles on your wedding day. Logistics, preparation, and planning aren’t sexy, but they are essential. By doing the work ahead of time, we’re able to run a seamless capture of your day and stay focused on the moments as they unfold.
Step 4 | Capture the magic
On the day of your wedding, we arrive with a rock solid game plan, an equally detailed contingency plan, and backups for all of our equipment. Combining these safeguards with a calm-in-the-storm attitude equips us to capture perfect photos and video footage no matter the circumstances. The best news? You’re trusting your memories to an experienced crew of true team players. Each of our vetted photographers and videographers has the skill set and knowledge needed to fulfill your creative brief without interfering in the experience of your day...or getting in the way of your other chosen vendors. Step 5 | Celebrate the experience
The fun doesn’t stop after you’ve tied the knot! Depending on the coverage you select, following your wedding, you’ll receive sneak peeks and a highlight film to help you relive your memories. Your complete video and photo gallery will be delivered within nine weeks of your wedding day...and then it’s time to celebrate in style with a reveal party! Invite six of your closest friends or family members to join you for a red carpet screening experience in our studio. In a digital world, this is a physical, tangible moment you won’t soon forget.

Water Tree Studios provides photo and video coverage so that you can enjoy the most streamlined production experience possible. We send specialized teams for each service we offer, meaning our photographers don’t capture video footage, and our videographers don’t shoot stills. By bringing us on board for photo and video, you’re gaining a synergistic crew with a mutual understanding of the big picture. Competition for “the shot” is replaced by complementary efforts that result in next-level creative magic. A win all around! With that said, combining services isn’t mandatory by any means. We are more than happy to partner with another team and welcome you to choose the option that works best for you.
Wedding Photography
You found the love. We’ll help you capture and share it, while paying close attention to the kind of experience you want to enjoy on your wedding day. In addition to providing classic, comprehensive coverage of your wedding, we offer engagement sessions that include professional hair and makeup—perfect for Save the Date cards! Create the custom package that’s right for you by adding on additional coverage hours, a second photographer, and heirloom albums and canvases. Online galleries are included with all packages to make ordering prints as easy as possible.

From cinematic films featuring shots by multiple videographers to pared-down coverage showcasing only the essentials, we offer a variety of coverage options so that you can choose what’s right for you. Included in all packages: pre-wedding consult and planning, professional videographer(s), high-definition cameras, and a hard drive containing all raw footage from your wedding.
Want to give your wedding coverage an exclusive celebrity vibe? Two hours of drone footage provided by our FAA certified pilot can be added on to any package for just $495. You won’t believe how incredible your outdoor ceremony or tented reception looks from above!

Just received the most incredible video of our wedding. Megan and her team did such a beautiful job editing all the raw footage and adding music to the video. Not only did we get the polished video and a short clip, but they included another file with all the raw footage. Some great memories that will last forever. Megan was in consistent contact with us regarding set up, floor plan, props—anything we needed to make our event memorable. She arrived at our event early for set up and did exactly what we asked of her, keeping the photo booth moving throughout the night, taking photos for Instagram and social media, and keeping the laughs going through the live booth viewing screen above the photo booth—it was exciting even if you weren't in it to see everyone laughing and posing inside! We also added on the live memory book, which allowed people to insert photos and write a personalized note to us—it was a really nice touch and took out a lot of the guesswork regarding the guest book. In addition, we were immediately provided with a digital photo booth online link to ALL the photos that were snapped in the booth that night. On the day of your photo/video reveal, you will have the opportunity to see and touch all of our print options in person. Wedding albums, parent albums, engagement storybooks, fine prints, canvases, and metal artwork are all available. Every printed piece we produce goes through a final polishing and Photoshop process, and production does not begin until you have given final approval. Our prints and albums are produced to meet the highest possible standards and come with a 100-year guarantee—that’s how committed we are to providing you with wedding day memories that last even longer than a lifetime.
