At Water Tree Studios, we believe in celebrating love at every stage—and we recognize that heartbreak is the heavy price of loving deeply. When we lose someone, there’s an inherent need to do something. Gathering for a time of intentional remembrance is an important part of honoring loved ones who have passed. However, the grieving process is intricate, and it looks different for everyone. Especially for those who are mourning at a distance.
Loss is never easy, and being physically absent makes it even harder to find closure. Capturing your loved one’s service on film gives friends and family from all over the world the opportunity to say goodbye in their own way, at their own time. And while nothing can truly replace being present in person, giving others the option to join the service via live stream is the next best thing.
As a studio, we exist to capture the words, motions, and emotions of life’s most meaningful occasions. During this time, our deepest desire is to help you honor your loved one and preserve their legacy for generations to come.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We will attend and capture the service you’ve planned as if we were a loved one. We’ll begin by filming the exterior and overall setting, paying special attention to any memorabilia, floral arrangements, notes, and photographs on display.
Before the service begins, we mic podium to ensure we obtain high-quality audio of the celebrational words that are shared. As everyone’s level of sensitivity is different, it is up to you to decide the level of display you are comfortable with—photographs, an urn, a casket, or an open casket can be showcased. Coverage is always captured with respect to your wishes.
Our overall aim is to replicate every aspect of the service so that those watching from afar will feel as though they haven’t missed a thing. To accomplish this, we’ll incorporate any photo slideshows, film montages, or music you’ve selected into our footage during post-production.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
Live streaming: Adding on live streaming allows more people to attend the service you’ve planned as it unfolds. In case anyone experiences sub-optimal connection speeds or other technological issues, we will also host the final edited version of the full service on a link that you can send to family and friends.
Stories of remembrance: She was your mother, but others knew her as a best friend, a co-worker, and a beloved sister. A Celebration of Life service presents an incredible opportunity to capture remembrances about your loved one from a variety of perspectives. The stories each attendee holds dear will depart with them when the service concludes. Preserving those memories on film is a beautiful way to honor your loved one’s impact, learn new things about the relationships they enjoyed, and celebrate how much they meant to so many.
Digital delivery: In addition to sending you a private download link, we will also host your footage for up to six months to make it as easy as possible for you to share the service you’ve planned with friends and family from all over the world.
